dogecoin
lost/missing unspent amount

Back in 2015 I had some Dogecoin in the mobile wallet. I sent 1,000 to another address and over the years lost access to the mobile wallet.
Looking back at the transaction

There are 4,612.55004933 unspent in the transaction and 1,000 was sent. Thinking the unspent amount was still in the mobile wallet. I was able to recover the mobile wallet on multidoge but the balance was zero.
Does any one know if the is a way to recover the unspent amount or is it gone?

You can clearly see that the change went to a new change wallet, where it’s been ever since.
Why is this?
Because one of the most annoying things about clients is that they always pick a new wallet for any change to go to. **AND THEY DON’T TELL YOU!**
That’s one of the reasons text wallets are far superior. You get to manage your own keys, and when you create transactions with tools such as coinb.in, you can send the change right back into the source wallet.
So unless you have the key to https://bitinfocharts.com/dogecoin/address/D6eZXHoogu7Hyd56YJGR3vQatwtaC8ECkM, those coins are permanently lost.
Now, all that said, it may not be impossible to recover. IF you have the original client and its files, or a backup done after that transaction, you may be able to get it to give up the key. Maybe. But it really depends, y’know?
