The Pompidou Museum will hold a permanent exhibition of NFT’s works
The Center Pompidou, Paris’ leading contemporary and modern art museum, announced on February 10th that it will launch a permanent exhibition focusing on the intersection of art, blockchain, and non-trivial tokens (NFTs).
According to Valx and quoted by Coin Telegraph, according to the announcement of this museum, this exhibition will host the works of 16 digital artists. Also, works from popular collections such as Crypto Punks and Autoglyph will be displayed in it.
Xavier Rey, director of the French National Museum of Modern Art located in Georges Pompidou National Center for Art and Cultureannounced the new policy of this museum and said:
Web 3 is a new creative territory that artists have used to create innovative and bold works, and this collection will be a demonstration of our support for artists in conquering new means of expression that are the foundation of modern art.
The exhibition, which is scheduled for next spring, will be the first appearance of NFT tokens at the Pompidou Center. This center houses the works of great artists such as Wassily Kandinsky, Frida Kahlo And Henry Mathis Is.
Two well-known companies, Larva Labs and Yuga Labs, creators of the crypto collections Punks and Autoglyph, each donated one NFT token (Punk #110 and Autoglyph #25) to the Pompidou Center. This is part of Yoga Labs’ larger program to donate punks to world-renowned museums. Previously, this punk company had donated number 305 to the Miami Institute of Contemporary Arts.
